ALL ROADS LEAD TO LIVERPOOL ON HIS INTERNATIONAL JOURNEY     Phil Bimpson has Liverpool on his mind - big time. Bimpson, of Liverpool, England, wants to visit every other Liverpool around and document his stops via camcorder. So far, his quest has taken him to Liverpool, Nova Scotia, and the Liverpool on Onondaga Lake. He'll also visit Liverpools in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Texas and Australia. "I have a curious inquiring mind," Phil Bimpson said. "I'm trying to find a connection, if there is any. I want to extend the friendship of the mother city of Liverpool to all the others." About five years ago, Bimpson, 50, mapped out the seven other locales that bear the name of his birth city and began planning his tour. He'll visit the North American Liverpools this trip, return home, then travel with his wife to Australia. Bimpson, a mechanic and martial arts instructor, said his quest will stretch over a year and his return will coincide with his hometown's 800th birthday celebration in August 2007. Then he'll unveil his video travelogue. Bimpson says he has a unique connection with the Liverpool that is in Onondaga County. While filming the International Beatles Week festival back home in August, Bimpson bumped into two women wearing T-shirts with the words "Fab Five, Liverpool, Syracuse, New York." When the group's Paul Davie and his wife, Linda, renewed their vows at Strawberry Fields in England, Bimpson filmed the ceremony. Bimpson stayed with the Davies for about a week before leaving Thursday. "It's like seeking the Holy Grail, I suppose, ... but I've already found the Grail," Bimpson said. "It lives in all the people I have met. I'm having a brilliant time."
